"Would you like to see a brand new tool and cleaning system I have that will restore that floor to new condition right before your eyes? It will take just five minutes and I will clean all in front of your sink there."

Try something like that. Explain to your customers that once they have you clean the floor initially, then regular future cleanings will be a lot cheaper because you will be maintaining it on a regular basis along with the carpet. You can even try to talk them into a maintenance program right then and there, but do focus on the money-saving benefits of it. During our tougher economy now, this will always assist your sale.
